A model for two-proton emission induced by electron scattering
نویسندگان
چکیده
A model to study two-proton emission processes induced by electron scattering is developed. The process is induced by one-body electromagnetic operators acting together with short-range correlations, and by two-body ∆ currents. The model includes all the diagrams containing a single correlation function. A test of the sensitivity of the model to the various theoretical inputs is done. An investigation of the relevance of the ∆ currents is done by changing the final state angular momentum, excitation energy and momentum transfer. The sensitivity of the cross section to the details of the correlation function is studied by using realistic and schematic correlations. Results for C, O and Ca nuclei are presented. A proton induced X-ray emission (PIXE) analysis of concentration of trace elements in varicose veins
Background: Proton induced X-ray emission (PIXE) has been applied as reliable and improved techniques in this study to compare concentration of various trace elements in normal and abnormal varicose veins. Materials and Methods: Five samples from normal veins and 13 samples from varicose veins bombarded by 2.0 MeV energy proton beams produced by a Van de Graff accelerator in vacuum. T...

In the present work, the scattering differential cross section has been investigated for ion-multi electron atoms collision in the charge transfer channel. For this purpose, an active electron model was implemented and the collision process was considered as a three-body impact in the high energy range. A semi-classical formalism was used with the eikonal distorted wave function to describe the...

متن کاملDevelopment of an Accommodation-Dependent Eye Model and Studying the Effects of Accommodation on Electron and Proton Dose Conversion Coefficients
Introduction International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) has provided a comprehensive discussion on threshold dose for radiation-induced cataract in ICRP publication 116. Accordingly, various parts of the eye lens have different radio-sensitivities. Recently, some studies have been performed to develop a realistic eye model with the aim of providing accurate estimation of fluence...
متن کاملELRADGEN: Monte Carlo generator for radiative events in elastic electron–proton scattering
We discuss the theoretical approach and practical algorithms for simulation of radiative events in elastic ep–scattering. A new Monte Carlo generator for real photon emission events in the process of elastic electron–proton scattering is presented. We perform a few consistency checks and present numerical results.
